Day 4: Cozy Rest

This year I want to be more intentional about documenting my family, especially my children, and the every day beauty that is around me.  This will be my 365 Project where I intend to take at least one picture every day, and hopefully blog about it.  It won’t be long posts every time, but something to keep me accountable for capturing my babies and actually placing the photos in a location where I can see them, instead of on my camera’s SD card, still inside my camera! This is my first one to date – DAY 4 – and because things are hard to start on Fridays, I waited until Monday;) This worn out photographer needs new inspiration because the ‘work’ side of this business can burn me out quickly and discourage me from picking up my camera inside my own home.  I hope you enjoy this fun journey with me!

The holiday season came as a time to take a break.  While it is intended for slower paces and longer talks, we can easily ruin that purpose by overbooking ourselves.  I made sure to be intentional with my rest time.  Some call it lazy…I call it recharging.  Today is the last day for my girls to be home before school starts tomorrow.  They spent the morning snuggled up under the softest blankets in our home watching cartoons and drinking coffee.  (Well, it was sugary milk with a splash of coffee!)
